Checked my mail today while in Bree. As I was lamenting about my 10th (!) Blueberry Tart Recipe, I noticed a player, a small dwarf Rune-Keeper, run by me. His kinship name caught my eye, so I had to see what it really said, because it couldn't possibly have said what I thought it said.

Nope... It was exactly what I thought I saw:

[Allisande]

***Dreamfade***

Alli:  “Quick Harry, we are running out of time!!!”

*Harry draws another “C” over the script in the archiver’s chamber then looks to Allisande who tosses him another reward.

*Bilwise stretches out on the table and groans.

Bilwise:  “No more…  I never thought a bear could beat me.” 

*Bilwise groans again.

Alli:  “Don’t be ridiculous.  If Sara finds out she has a fan club, she might like them better than us?  Keep going! “C!”

*Bilwise lethargically draws a “C” in the registration book and reflexively pops up to catch Alli’s treat.

Bilwise:  “Mmm, No more…”

*Harry throws a crayon at Alli.  She hasn’t been paying attention to his progress.

Alli:  “Let me see.”

*Alli walks over to Harry’s book and reviews the new kinship name, Caramela Elensar, then tosses another caramel at Harry.

Alli:  “This should do it.  Noone will be the wiser and we keep Sara.“

Bilwise:  “Next time we do blueberries.  I know I can out-blueberry fuzzy britches!”

*Harry looks at Bilwise indulgently as he picks up the sleepy hobbit by the scruff of his backpack and follows Alli out of the registrar’s chamber.  Outside dawn touches the lands surrounding Thorin’s Hall.  Another sneaky night’s work completed for the good of the Blades.

I saw someone run by me with that Kinship name the other day too.  Then I thought maybe the name Saramela was somehow linked to LoTRO lore and I somehow didn't realize it lol.  Guess that's not the case.  Maybe you have a secret admirer?

Saramela Elensar is an *alt kin*, some youngish alts that left a larger end game focused kin.  I was told the name meant *young one* or something along those lines.  Next time I run into the gentleman I know in the kin, I will ask for the exact translation and origin of their name.

I saw that a few days ago. I debated whether to bring it up in kinchat but decided you'd find out yourself soon enough

Hahaha! Alli, your dreamfades always make me happy.

No, I've never seen the name before either. When I chose the name (back in Beta), it was because it sounded nice. I've tried "translating" it, but the closest thing I could find is:

Quenyan: Sára meaning "fiery" or "bitter" and méla meaning "loving or affectionate."

Sindarin: mela- (prefix) meaning "to love (as a friend)" and, well,  I couldn't find a meaning for Sara.

I'm curious to know how they came across the name. I deserve royalties!!!

I saw a dwarf the other day with the kinship name, and I thought to myself:

Wonder if they are relatives of Sara, and if so....

Hawkshadow has a whole KIN devoted to his illegitimate children!
